Day 2
Up at 9 AM. Sunday is my day to sleep in. We'll have to make new rules for who gets to sleep in during the week.
I've got bad news about the song of the day; seems I woke up with the same song in my head as yesterday. Part of the obsessive thing - redundancy is a real danger. Anyway, I dug deep and found the next song bouncing around in my head. The result isn't quite as innocent as yesterday's.
I Wanna Be Your Dog by The Stooges (with Iggy Pop). These guys really capture that whole "New York in the 70's /too many drugs /hedonistic lifestyle" vibe. It's great! Of course there's the commercial "Lust for Life" and "Real Wild Child", but Iggy is also responsible for darker classics like "Sister Midnight" and "I Wanna Be Your Dog". Best not to explore the meaning too deeply, just picture yourself hanging down in the Bowery circa 1973 and enjoy the vibe.
